Love Is Home Out November 22, 2019
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
St. Gallen, Switzerland – October 29, 2019 – Rio Glacier spent much of his 2019 working and releasing new music. With their first EP, Out of Tune, out in August they’ve already got another on the way with November’s Love is Home.
Influenced by the melodies of Counting Crows and the escapism of Pink Floyd, Rio Glacier’s Van Vogt was able to pour his heart out lyrically on not one, but two EPs this year. The first being Out of Tune. Released back in August, Out of Tunefeatures wonderfully constructed indie folk with hints of the blues and some rock sewn into the fabric. With more to say, he didn’t stray far from their signature sound when it came time to record Love is Home. Due out November 22, 2019.
Currently, Rio Glacier is working on the vinyl master for his 2019 releases that will feature Out of Tune on Side A, and Love is Home on Side B. One can expect that to drop in early 2020. Unsigned but determined, Rio Glacier’s Van Vogt wears a myriad of hats when it comes to his music and it shows in the execution.
From the songs like “Drive” that capture you in an instant with endearing arrangements to the ones such as “The Evening is a Robber” that showcase how simplistic yet evoking the storytelling comes across, each track is a journey and Vogt is the guide. With each listen one learns to appreciate the charm of his melodies and how they intertwine with the way he takes common words and creates stimulating tales each and every time.

Rio Glacier filled 2019 with not one but two releases; August’s Out of Tune and November’s upcoming Love is Home.
Born in the winter of 2018, Rio Glacier began its journey into the unknown. As a result of the first tentative steps the single Ballerina appeared. A song written for Van’s oldest daughter who was on the verge of following her own path. One ear later, single N°2 The Evening Is A Robber and N°3 Drive followed the first one. The steps became more certain, safer, more confident. In the summer of 2019, RG released its first album Out Of Tune, an EP containing five songs about the dichotomy of life, not about Good and Bad, Black or White but about the things in between. Fascinating things. Things which the concrete heads of this world would love to drown. Currently, RG is recording its next album which is to appear at the end of 2019. For this purpose, Van Vogt, head and founder of RG, has retired to a secluded cabin in the alps to concentrate on writing his new songs. What has emerged from it we will find out Christmas 2019!
RG published one EP and three Singles :
At the moment Rio Glacier is on tour as a trio. Van is being accompanied by Lukas Stalder (Guitar) and Heinz Morf (Bass).
